Relational SomaPlay

Relational SomaPlay combines movement, play & connection practices. It is an explorative, embodied experience where participants can meet each other & share who they are & their life experiences using games & exercises that invite curiosity, interest & joy. It is for anyone who is interested in meeting others beyond the superficial conversations & interested in involving the body & its movements.
the study or practice of how the physical body (the soma) and its expressions during play create and influence emotional connections and relationships.
The workshop typically includes:
Arrival & Grounding: Gentle practices to arrive in the body & space
Somatic Warm-Up: Simple movement, breath, & sensory exploration
Relational Play Exercises: Solo, dyad, & small-group activities using movement, gesture, rhythm, & spatial awareness
Connection Games: Authentic conversational explorations of common life experiences in dyads & small groups
Integration & Reflection: Individual & group reflection to integrate experiences
Closing Circle: Settling, resourcing, & completion
