A classic Sivananda session, including basic pranayama (breathing) and Surya Namaskar (sun salutation), designed to massage and rejuvenate the entire spine, with rhythmic alternation between effort and relaxation to balance the nervous system and prepare it for the final guided relaxation.

About the Facilitator

Mani has been studying yoga since 2007. In 2021 he became certified to teach by Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Meenakshi Ashram, Madurai. Mani’s classes include basic & intermediate asanas from the Sivananda tradition & Bihar School of Yoga, and support a holistic alignment of mind, body and breath. Over the years, his practice evolved from the physical level to a more holistic practice aligning mind, body & breath. He believes in teaching only what he practices. Passionately sharing this kind of a practice brings him a sense of fulfillment. He finds that his self-practice & teaching complement each other & they grow together.
